At least Donny got a well earned try BP…. oh wait, no we didn’t because of a pathetic and needless rule change that nobody even asked for.
Absolute travesty Doncaster didn’t get a bonus point after scoring a 4th try in the 75th minute having been comprehensively beaten and trailing for 25-30 points for most of the game. Robbed
bluesman, I do hope this is sarcasm because we were well beaten and deserved nowt.

DKF the rule change effects everyone equally - we got stuffed in the scrum and without a stable platform from which to build we had no hope.

We have to hope our injury concerns in the front row are short lived or we can be experiencing more of the same as yesterday.

The needless rule change was made years ago when they introduced rewards for losing.
It's about as much use to a competitive league as the DR system.

That’s very true - I probably come across as a bit petulant at times but I just find it very frustrating that an electric back division is being starved of good quality ball because we can’t get the fundamental basics of the game right. You can’t do well on a consistent basis in any league if you can’t get your scrum, line-out and discipline right the vast majority of the time. We spend far too much time in games in our own half and are seemingly incapable of putting the squeeze on the opposing team for an extended period of time.

Every time I watch any of Rotherham I’m very impressed with Issac Shaw. He could play at a higher level.

The Ealing Brunel pathway produces a lot of terrific players but, for whatever reason, most of them seem to end up developing at other clubs and not Ealing (Josh Taylor being the one exception I can think of). Marcus Kershaw at Bedford also came through that pathway but never featured for Ealing and is another that I think will move to a higher level sooner rather than later.

Roth beaten by the better side today. A bit of a wake up call for us as we made far too many unforced, un pressured errors. Lots to work on.

Well done to Pirates. Classy, well drilled side!

Still a dream start for us. Well done all and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Great match but We were outmuscled by Cornish Pirates and our lineout malfunctioned for much of the game (under pressure from the Pirates). They had great pace in the backs but were also brutal in the forwards, especially in defence. In the end they were good for their win. We have to dust oursevles off and prep for the Archers.

No complaints from me. That line out debacle just on half time meant we were two scores down at that time & we never looked like recovering it, due in some part to our terrible line outs continuing in the second half, but Pirates are a good team & punished us every time. There was a lot to learn from that defeat but the spoils deservedly went to our visitors.

Our unbeaten home run has gone, but we move on to the next one and wish the Pirates a safe journey home and I’m sure you’ll splice the mainbrace on the way.

As was stated before by my fellow Roth fans, it’s still been a very good start but today we were beaten by a better team.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

Was surprised at that result given Pirates’ first two performances on the road but it just shows you that there’s always a stumble around the corner in this league. Roth have had a brilliant start and i’m sure they’ll have many more good days this season but well played Pirates, that’s a great victory at a very tough place to go.
