Week 2 - Latest scores thread - over the weekend 25th- 27th September

[Park Ranger]

My heart goes out to Richmond. That’s a titanic effort to get so close the fully pros at Ealing. Before Sir Mike arrived at Ealing ( and I had a super conversation with him in the Rosslyn Park clubhouse) Park wouldn’t even agree to put Ealing on our fixture list. Although the modern supporters will call me an old fart (I’m 73 ) its worth remembering that money or the lack of it has transformed the rugby landscape certainly in my lifetime but not in the lifetime of the younger generation who never experienced the likes of Newcastle Gosforth, Moseley, Rosslyn Park and others dining at the top table when Saracens were nowhere to be seen.
