New season predictions?

After relegation a huge amount of change has happened at Leicester Lions, the pre-season match last weekend saw a very much changed Lions take the field, but they have had a decent result and the few whispers coming from the club suggest things are looking good.
Hard to predict what will happen from the back of a couple of friendlies, but the new coaches seem to be building a squad that are full of enthusiasm, how they gel as a group may well take time, but with the same skipper and familiar key players still in the squad, I am hopeful after what was a very draining last season in Nat 1.
Looking at the recruitment at Oundle, they probably begin as one of the favourites in the East league, but they too have a new coaching team, so they may also find it takes time to click. Looking forward to this coming season and hope all stay injury free and we spectators get some entertaining matches.

My only prediction will be a very obvious one - every club that signs a new player will be delighted to announce it.

Much more difficult to predict events on the field!

Lymm are hopefully ready now for the new campaign following two good warm up fixtures and a good pre-season with a couple of new additions to the squad and some good showings from our ex academy colts. The transition from the junior to senior section is something that the club are very proud of and is the mainstay of our ability to play National League rugby. Long may it continue.

No doubt it will be a tough challenge for the squad to compete at the top end of the league this time round despite managing double victories over strong sides, Luctonians and Taunton last season.
I would expect both of these teams along with Hinckley to be up at the sharp end.
A mid table finish is within our means currently if the injury gods are kind to us and if we can keep Crouchley Lane as a bit it of a fortress.
I think we must have been way above the league averages for player concussion unavailability last time out. May have to play in crash helmets this year.
No real idea on the mid table to bottom at this time though really.
Hopefully it will be like last year again with jeopardy for half the league up to final games.
Good luck to all teams.
COME ON LYMM
