The lads of Lymm Rugby take on newly promoted Harrogate this Saturday.
Second and final run out for the squad after a decent performance against local opposition Anselmians a couple of weeks ago.
We are expecting a tough test, but the squad have put in a decent pre-season and are itching to get some more game time.

A smaller team selection this week as opposed to the Anselmians game. This one being played over two 40 minutes.

Sun should be out so a good fast game is on the cards.
COME ON LYMM

Oundle put up a fine second half performance away at Championship opposition (Rotherham Titans)

Trailing 52-0 at half time Oundle came back strongly in a second half mainly on the front foot.

Although the final result of Roth 71 Oundle 19, Oundle can take a lot out of this game, although outgunned in the first half they greatly improved after the break.

A game that the visitors can take a great deal from, probably more than Roth to be fair, and will need to review the concession of three tries in the second half.

I wish Oundle well for the upcoming season.

Lymm Rugby entertained a strong Harrogate side today.
Harrogate brought approx 25 players, Lymm chose to take the opportunity to get more game time in the legs of about 35 lads.

Harrogate came out the better on the score board (well played Gate) but Lymm's coaches will be satisfied to have been able to assess more combinations and pick up on more areas to be worked on.

Harrogate's set piece game was strong and was the area they had the upper hand today. Their rolling mauls particularly effective at times. A few too many penalized Lymm infringements allowed them several opportunities to practice this part of their game from close range.
In open play however, it was the other way round, Lymm's pace and interplay between forwards and backs caused Gate a lot more problems.

All in all, two good preseason games in the can now and the Crouchley Lane men move on to game one of the new season in good spirits.

I'm sure last seasons relegated but last minute reprieved National League 2 opposition, on the 5th, the students from Loughborough University will meet a strong, fast Lymm side ready to start the season with a big W.

Whatever the result, you can bet it will be tries aplenty.
