Pirates 14 - 29 Saracens.

A really entertaining game despite very wet conditions. The first ten minutes were all Saracens and it looked like it might end up very one sided. Pirates didn’t have a lot of ball, but they were really physical, mauled well and took their chance well.

In the second half the Pirates scrum got on top and the game got quite close. Saracens had too much for them in the end, but it was a really competitive game and both teams played plenty of rugby despite the weather.

Alex Everett, Chester Ribbons, Tyler Gendall and Alfie Petch really stood out for the pirates. Jack Bracken and Totoa Auvaa were outstanding for Sarries.

My understanding is it was confirmed the final will be at a neutral ground. Doesn’t make any sense to me to play the semis at neutral grounds, I would be surprised if that’s the case.

Looks like Sale FC managed a win against Caldy. Roth have a big game next Saturday. I think our defence needs a bit of tweak, but the attack is looking sharp. Newcastle will expose any flaws , so very interesting to see what pans out.

Nottingham v Rosslyn Park on Saturday cancelled. Reason given on Nottingham social media is RP can’t raise a team.

Hope all okay in the RP camp and it’s nothing too serious. Nottingham have replaced the game with an open training session instead.

RP now cancelled their game v Quins due to be played on the 12th.
